Our Ship, the Cenk I, was built in Bodrum Shipyard (Turkey) in 1990-91. She is a spanish galleon type motorsailor. Her hull is built from sandwich structured GRP. Teak deck and wooden mast and schooner ketch staysail rig show a very beautiful appearance. She causes a stir in every harbour. A long kell make the ship safe and comfortable on long journeys under sail.
In 1996 the Cenk Yachting became of this ship and in the same year she was fully refitted. She has a teak deck and wooden mast and traditional runnig rig. For longer journeys she's fitted with a reasonable sized engine and has a generator and fresh water and fuel reserves. She's fitted out with three separate navigation and radar system which make the night and open water navigation in the Meditteranean safe and secure. She's equipped with a dual steering system. The enclosed, entirely separate steering position, is equipped with all navigation gear and a navigator~ berth which enables all-weather sailing.
She's fitted out with six double cabins and a double crew cabin, all with ensuites (toilet, shower and washcabin eith hot and cold water). The spacious salon, with large table seating twelve guests (fridge, gas stove, exhaust, cupboards and sink).
On deck we find a table surrounded by fixed carpeted benches. All covered by a sunsail. For the sun worshippers the upper deck is partly covered with sun mattresses For the swimmer there is a comfortable and safe stainless steel stairs.
